HOHME – Closer to Paradise

HOHME is back at it again. No simple mix for this guy, he brings us a 75 minute mix. I am going to only post his 9 min. teaser, but if you haven’t checked him out yet, please go to http://welcomehohme.com/ and check out his many excellent mixes.  I am still playing “Love Collision” in my car non stop.  Follow him on twitter to get updates on his latest mixes @HOHME.

Nicki Minaj – Stupid Hoe

It’s been a long time people…I know, I know, but we are committed to making this thing work.  Two promotions and one of us moving to Cali has slowed us down a bit, but we are going to make this work and continue to bring you new music.  Today we give you the new Nicki Minaj hype single “Stupid Hoe.”  This is pretty catchy, and Hype Williams keeps us interested with bright visuals in this video.

Wretch 32 ft. Josh Kumra – Don’t Go

Hailing from Tottenham, London, Wretch is a British rapper with a thick accent but a bonafide hit on his hands. “Don’t Go,” is from his 2011 album Black and White, and has already topped the charts in the UK.  I was introduced to this by a coworker and it has been on repeat ever since.  The catchy hook provided by newcomer Josh Kumra is responsible.

Common – Cloth

I cannot stress how great this album is.  I did like both Be and Finding Forever, but I haven’t really enjoyed a Common album this much since Like Water For Chocolate.  Common and producer No I.D. have put together a hip hop conscious masterpiece.  The production is soulful and smooth, and combined with Common’s lyrics, make a perfect marriage.  I will probably be posting a song everyday till his album, the Dreamer, the Believer hits stores on the 20th.  Check out “Cloth,” just one of the many amazing tracks from this album.
