Today we give you the new Nicki Minaj hype single “Stupid Hoe.” This is pretty catchy, and Hype Williams keeps us interested with bright visuals in this video.
Hailing from Tottenham, London, Wretch is a British rapper with a thick accent but a bonafide hit on his hands. “Don’t Go,” is from his 2011 album Black and White, and has already topped the charts in the UK. I was introduced to this by a coworker and it has been on repeat ever since. The catchy hook provided by newcomer Josh Kumra is responsible.

There is no denying the year that Calvin Harris has had following his smash hit with Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” Here, one of his classics is remixed by an electro-house duo out of Finland by the name of Trampboat. Overloaded with heavy glitches and synths they transform this already originally catchy dance tune into a mega-dance remix.

Daughter, led by lead singer Elena Tonra, released their EP The Wild Youth back in November with their single, “Youth” gaining a lot of attention in the recent weeks. Rocking an acoustic guitar and bowl cut, there’s something unique about Elena’s style/voice/lyrics etc. The track takes about a minute to pick up but gives a great first impression filled with mystery and beauty.
What better way to kick off 2012 than with the artist who undoubtedly had the biggest 2011, Avicii. Here he teams up with Alesso, and as always, does not disappoint. And in case you wondering- no the rules have not changed, they has changed.

First of all, Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all had a great night filled with excessive drinking (no driving!) and debauchery. We want to thank everyone who has stuck with us since we launched on September 5th of last year, everyone who might be checking out our site for the first time, and everyone who has joined along the way. Our posts have been few and far between for the past few weeks, and in actuality we’ve only been operating at about 50% as my laptop was stolen and I haven’t had a computer for about a month and a half now (I know, I know; Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion). Big thanks goes out to Justin for keeping the site going and keeping the dream alive. With all that said, let’s make 2012 the best year we’ve ever had- because if the world ends, fuck it, at least we went out with a bang. Now let’s get this party started…
