Take Care opens with ego filled bars over a simple beat with a nice female chorus. “Over My Dead Body,” is one of the few rapping tracks, at least it seems, for an album that showcases more of an R&B side of the Toronto artist. While it is still too soon for me to judge, I am divided at the moment in how much I like this album. It has many highlights and I will post a full review soon.

Take Care has leaked on to the internet, and we are able to preview it a week early. On “Crew Love,” Drake let’s his protege The Weeknd croon over the track while he lays down a verse at the end. Pick it up on Nov. 15th, also been on the lookout for a Drake/Rick Ross mixtape in the works called YOLO (you only live once).

Happy Monday everybody! To start your day off we bring a remix of Washed Out’s mellow track “New Theory.” This is off their Life of Leisure EP. This would make a great music montage song, and it has already been featured in the credits of How To Make It In America. Speaking of montages, I remember watching Baywatch (for the storyline of course) and that show was full of them. Slow motion, running on the beach, Pamela Anderson bouncing everywhere, and long montages. No wonder the Europeans loved it.

Freshly debuted the other night, “Heartbeat,” looks to be the next single off Gambino’s upcoming debut album. This kid is on fire lately, he recently appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he is all over the music blog world, and he has the catchiest metaphors since Lil Wayne, except his make sense relative to the song.

DeadMau5 is back with a new single, so grab your glow sticks and get ready for an electric rollercoaster. The Canadian recently packed the Rogers Centre in Toronto for a sold out show. We should get several remixes of this in the weeks to come. For now enjoy this instrumental in its original form.

Ah the French, taking a fellow native’s track and making into a disco dance party track. The Blisters Boyz did just that with Justice’s new hit “Newlands,” and added a much-needed dance kick to it. You may have first heard of Justice from their addictive song, “Civilization,” that played in all those Adidas commercials over the summer. Well now they have a new album, Audio, Video, Disco, and I recommend you check it out.

D and I, (the two guys who run this site) work a regular 9-5 job and during the day are confined in wonderful cubicles. One of the reasons we started this site is while we were combing through spreadsheets and performing data entry, we were always listening to music. We thought it would be great if there was a site we could go to that would filter through most of the crap and give us quality music that we could listen to all day. Pretty soon people would be consistently asking us what was good and what was new. So in order to appease the masses we started this site.
