Adele – The Remixes

Before I get started, I have to say, Adele blindsided me the first time I heard, “Rolling in the Deep.”  I knew nothing about her before this song, but her crisp vocals blew me away.  You could tell right away this was true talent entering a world of mass-produced pop stars.  The world recognized this talent as well as they came out and supported her album and all her singles. Now her music is universally adored, being remixed, reworked, and even was the topic of a full skit on SNL.  After posting the Mike Posner cover yesterday, I have decided to post some of the best mixes of Adele I have found by various producers.  Enjoy.

Avicii – Don’t Give Up On Us (Aylen &ThatMoment Remix)

Another Avicii mix? Why yes, his music is that good and he has been on fire this year. A clear example of this are the amount of people taking his work and mixing over and over. While there are some bad mixes out the the following one is pretty damn good. Check out “Don’t Give Up On Us (Aylen and ThatMoment Mix).”

Dirty South – Alive (Tits & Clits Remix)

Dirty South is a Serbian born Austrailian producer who I first discovered with his remix of “Coming Home,” by Dirty Money. He has a pretty long list of hits and with “Alive,” he combined with Thomas Gold and Kate Elsworth. Then the Hungarian electronic duo, and this is really their name, Tits and Clits, took Dirty South’s hit, and really took it to another level. I remember my Dad using tits as an adjective all the time when I was younger, “that car is tits,” but you don’t hear that too often anymore, hopefully these Hungarians will make it cool again.

Avicii – Fade Into Darkness

Over the past summer I think I have listened to Avicii’s “Levels,” over a hundred times.  Around the same time I discovered, “Levels,”  I had another Avicii track called “Penguin.”  It was another simple, yet addicting piano track with no vocals.  This later came to be “Fade Into Darkness,” as well as “Collide,” by Leona Lewis.  Originally Leona’s producer used the track without Avicii’s permission, however after a quick court dispute, he is now referenced as the producer. This just goes to show the versatility of his music.  Check them both out and decide your favorite.

Justice – Newlands (Blisters Boyz Remix)

Ah the French, taking a fellow native’s track and making into a disco dance party track.  The Blisters Boyz did just that with Justice’s new hit “Newlands,” and added a much-needed dance kick to it.  You may have first heard of Justice from their addictive song, “Civilization,” that played in all those Adidas commercials over the summer. Well now they have a new album, Audio, Video, Disco, and I recommend you check it out.

Kaskade ft. Skylar Grey – Room For Happiness

D and I, (the two guys who run this site) work a regular 9-5 job and during the day are confined in wonderful cubicles.   One of the reasons we started this site is while we were combing through spreadsheets and performing data entry, we were always listening to music.  We thought it would be great if there was a site we could go to that would filter through most of the crap and give us quality music that we could listen to all day.  Pretty soon people would be consistently asking us what was good and what was new.  So in order to appease the masses we started this site.  Now we have a ton of fans at work and more people everyday are able to listen to new music they may have not discovered on their own.  “Room for Happiness,” is off Kaskade’s new album and features stand out writer and performer, Skylar Grey.  She is responsible for “Coming Home,” and also Dr Dre’s, “I Need a Doctor.”  Enjoy.

M83 – Midnight City

I don’t why we haven’t posted this sooner.  A little 80’s style vocals, over an electro-pop beat, …can’t lose.  This French act was founded in 2001, and since has released several albums. “Midnight City,” is off their current album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.  Speaking of the 80’s, slap bracelets have made their return into stores, I can’t wait till 2035, when they remake Saved By The Bell, and they get Screech to play the new Mr Belding.  That guy got the short end of the stick when that thing ended, at least A.C. Slater gets to host that dance show on MTV.  Screech who already had to deal with the fact his real name is Dustin, just got fat and weirder.
