50 Cent – You Will Never Take My Crown

I have to say I might be one of the few left that believes 50 Cent still is a viable artist, he proves time and time again his hard work ethic in music.  Any other artist who has made tens and hundreds of millions of dollars on a variety of business ventures would sit back and drop music once every couple of years if not retire.  Curtis continues to release music already having dropped the “Big 10,” and “Lost Tapes,” mixtapes this year.  Now he is releasing his latest offering this Friday on his website, thisis50.com.  I like the sample and the beat is aggressive, great gym music here.  Check it out.

XV ft. Raj – Her Favorite Song

Wichita’s finest is back with a brand new mixtape.  XV is another hip hop artist who is due for a big break.  He doesn’t come anywhere near rap stereotypes and has developed a unique storytelling flow revolving around pop culture references.  “Her Favorite Song,” sticks out as a radio ready single.  Raj comes out of nowhere to deliver a catchy hook, and his sound is reminiscent of Idol, Chris Richardson.  Check out the song and then click here to download the whole project for free.

Slaughterhouse – My Life (ft. Cee-Lo Green)

Definitely the most underrated group in Hip Hop right now, Slaughterhouse continues their grind for success.  Comprised of Joell Ortiz, Royce the 5’9″, Joe Budden, and Crooked I, you will not find more talented rappers out there.  They actually have substance to their verses and gel really well together.  Here is their second single off their upcoming album.  Alone the song is great, but with the addition of CeeLo’s vocals, especially at the end, it takes it to another level.  Sorry for the clip here as this being there next single, the record company doesn’t want the full track out.

Flo Rida – Whistle

Mr. hit radio single is back.  With an impressive start with “Good Feelin,” and “Wild One,” Flo Rida continues his streak with “Whistle.”  His album is jam packed with future singles including another one to follow featuring LMFAO.

Nicki Minaj – Champion (Feat. Nas, Drake & Young Jeezy)

I will give it to Nicki, after a horrid performance at the Grammy’s she has put out a great Sophomore album filled with every genre according to her personalities.  She has the pop records such as “Starships,” that make even the youngest of girls recite her lyrics and then she has songs like the one below that cater to her more adult audience.  “Champion,” has the laundry list of guest favorites and delivers.

Kendrick Lamar – The Recipe feat. Dr. Dre

I have been a fan of Kendrick ever since I got his album Section 80, he has a unique style and one of the reasons unfortunately why we will not see Detox anytime soon.  “The Recipe,” definitely feels like a track meant for the delayed album, and you can tell Mr. Lamar definitely wrote Dr. Dre’s part as his flow is evident.
