One Room – I Want You

We don’t know much about the mysterious artist One Room, what I do know is that I like his first track “I Want You.” Combining an addictive piano melody with simple drums, One Room, both raps and sings over this subtle track.  Other than that he is off the grid, you can go to his tumblr and d/l this song for free in exchange for tweet.  Go to http://0neroom.tumblr.com/ and check this one out.

David Guetta – Without You feat. Usher

I will say it again, David Guetta is a machine for producing radio hits and his album is full of them.  We shared earlier his collaboration with Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne, now I give you his next big hit on deck, “Without You.”  Combining his top notch dance production with Usher Raymond’s vocals works perfectly here, and will be sure to be heard in every club very soon.

FREESTYLE FRIDAY: Chris Brown

Freestyle Friday continues, and Jessica from Fredonia is pretty pumped after attending the F.A.M.E concert and wants to here more Breezy.  More Breezy you shall receive, Jessica.  If we avoid the elephant in the room and disregard his personal life, Chris Brown is one hell of an entertainer.  This man is the closest thing we have to MJ, and even shares the legend’s history of controversy.  Below I give you a megamix of new and old, as well as some unreleased tracks.

Frank Ocean – Pyrite (Fool’s Gold)

What happens when you get a record deal in 2009, and nothing comes of it?  Well in Christopher Breaux’s case, you change your name to Frank Ocean, and prove yourself through songwriting and releasing a critically acclaimed mixtape.  After penning songs for the likes of Justin Bieber, Beyonce, and John Legend, Frank put his attention and focus into taking personal favorite songs  and singing new lyrics over the original music.  He then added some original material including the underground hit, “Novacane,” to make up his free mixtape, nostalgia, ULTRA.  With the release of the tape, as well as his affiliation to the young hip hop group, Odd Future,  he began to draw more and more attention ultimately leading to his guest appearances on Watch the Throne.   Check out his unique voice and songwriting skills on one of his early songs, “Pyrite.”

Chris Brown – Leave The Club

Fresh off his new mixtape “Boy In Detention,”  Chris Brown gives us a another smooth R&B song to rock with.  Produced by JUSTICE League, and featuring newcomer (and country singer?)  Joelle James, this is a nice late night track to listen to. – JJ
