T-Pain ft. Chris Brown – Look At Her Go

Ever since “Kiss Kiss,”  these guys have a great dynamic when they work together.  “Look At Her Go,” definitely has grown on me since I have been listening to Revolver in my car. T-Pain’s new album is pretty decent and definitely a good listen except for a few tracks.  His hit “5 O’clock is in heavy radio rotation and he has been on almost every late night stage on TV this week.  He even has been performing without Autotune. Anyways I definitely recommend it,  pick it up in stores now.

The Roots ft. Dice Raw – Lighthouse

Undun is in stores today, and I recommend you pick it up.  Still one of the most organic hip hop groups left, The Roots have managed to put together another fantastic album.  I have to warn people, this is in no way filled with any instant radio singles, it even has four instrumental tracks on it.  Instead you get quality, conscious music that tells a story.  “Lighthouse,”  is one of those tracks that actually has a catchy chorus you can get stuck in your head.  Give it a listen, then go pick up the album.

Nicki Minaj – Roman In Moscow

I can’t believe I am posting this. This is Nicki’s first single off her new album, Pink Friday : Roman Reloaded.  Nicki has had a great deal of success this past year, mostly because just like her labelmate Drake, she can rap and sing.  Yes, some of her lyrics are ridiculous, and this song is no different, but she has become hip hop’s Lady Gaga if you will, amassing a ton of fans both female and male.  This song is just her alter ego Roman going off, with lines such as: “ain’t on my period, but I got a little pad,” “and I ball…, underwear.”  Oh yes, this is what sells today.  I can’t be too harsh she has had some great singles that you can’t help but like, and she, like Lil’ Wayne, gives very nice features on other songs.  Take a listen and judge for yourself, but I can’t see people liking this.  Just my two cents.

T-Pain & Kanye West – Flight School

Final one  from the vault for now, this one brings together Yeezy and Pain back around the “Good Life,” era.  Over a simple piano backdrop, Kanye and T-pain go back and forth delivering a chilling sounding track.  This eventually went to Good Music artist GLC, but didn’t sound as good as the original.

50 Cent – I Get It In

Another one from the vault, this comes from the unreleased 50/Dr.Dre combo.  I gotta admit I like 50 more and more now that pretty much all of hip hop has turned his back on him.  He gives hands down the best interviews, doesn’t go to jail every other year like most rappers, and is actively on his way to feed a billion people in Africa.  This track was supposed to come out on his last album, but because of the days of the week lyrics, ” Sunday, Monday, Tuesday…,” which were also out in a Black Eyed Peas song at the time, he decided to shelve the project and never release it.  I love the simple drums and the orchestra hit, and this is a great song to have on the ipod at the gym.  Take a listen.

Jeremih ft. Drake – I Get Lonely Too

We at AOS try to bring you only quality music, sub par just doesn’t cut it around here.  Lately we have been having a hard time finding new music deserving of our site.  So to keep your ears busy with new tracks i have decided to post some from the vault.  These are tracks that never got released and should be new to most of our visitors.  The first of these tracks is “I Get Lonely Too.”  This track was originally planned for Drake’s R&B mixtape that was supposed to be released after, Thank Me Later came out.  Unfortunately for his fans, Drake (aka his record label) decided to shop around these tracks to other artists.  Jeremih,  took on the track, added his vocals, and here is the result.  I added the original for comparison.  I actually dig them both, hear it for yourself.

Florence + the Machine – Take Care (Drake Cover)

Is there anything this woman can’t do?  Besides the originality and creativity Florence Welch and company bring to the table, she has a killer, awe inspiring voice.  That voice which is seemingly being sampled everywhere in hip hop and electronic music these days, has now flipped the script. Here on BBC radio, she puts her own spin on the title track of Drake’s new album, Take Care, featuring Rihanna and produced by Jaime XX.  Original track is posted below, but both versions are completely addicting.

Lupe Fiasco – The End of Time

Lupe Fiasco is back with a new mixtape.  It’s great how the music industry has evolved; artists are in more creative control and can release material to spark interest for their actual album.  Also the artist does not have to pay royalties on songs sampled for mixtape material, giving them complete freedom.  Here, Lupe samples M83’s “Midnight City.”  This actually works quite well, d/l Friend of the People: I Fight Evil now!
