A while back we posted a DJ by the name of Hohme who had a solid knack for the art of the mashup. After perusing his soundcloud page, I discovered this BANGER. Anytime you remix an Imogen Heap song you’re bound for a hit, but it’s not until after his sample of Imogen’s “Hide and Seek” does the song really takes off. Really looking forward to more from this guy. Oh ,and thanks for the shout out David.
Hohme – Love Build
Before I get started, I have to say, Adele blindsided me the first time I heard, “Rolling in the Deep.” I knew nothing about her before this song, but her crisp vocals blew me away. You could tell right away this was true talent entering a world of mass-produced pop stars. The world recognized this talent as well as they came out and supported her album and all her singles. Now her music is universally adored, being remixed, reworked, and even was the topic of a full skit on SNL. After posting the Mike Posner cover yesterday, I have decided to post some of the best mixes of Adele I have found by various producers. Enjoy.

HOHME, is slowly climbing the hype machine charts with his new dance mix “Love Collision”, this time including the sounds of Florence and the Machine, Afrojack, Leona Lewis, and Mark Knight. He’s also got a pretty interesting take of Avicii’s “Levels.” I wouldn’t be surprised if this kid is the next of the wave of mash up artists to blow up, check out his sound cloud for more.
Producers Urban Noize just released their Adele / Jay mashup album. This is why I love music so much, because you can take songs, sample, mix and make them something completely new and different. Case in point, Brenton Duvall takes an instrumental from the soundtrack of the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind called “Phone Call,” slows it down and adds Mike Posner’s, “Save your Goodbye,” and now you have a new masterpiece. This track is very addicting, I have had this on repeat for about two days.
