German producer gives us his take on Redial’s “Venom.” Simple, electronic sounds, with no vocals at all. Kind of exactly like the movie, Drive.

Anonymity appears to be a theme today, but I came across this track and had to post it. It appears nothing, and I mean nothing, is known of Ms Mr. This duo brings a Florence + The Machine-esque sound with heavy drums and a voice that’s both beautiful and somewhat haunting. For more off their album, Ghost City USA, check out their bandcamp site.
Ms Mr – Ash Tree Lane
Monarchy is an electro-pop duo out of London, who similarly to the Gorillaz at the start of their career, refuse to show their faces. In reading up on these guys, it doesn’t seem like it’s all a gimmick either, rather for the sake of being judged on their music rather than appearances or personal lives. Regardless, this track is one I can’t get out of my head. Hit play and enjoy.

AlwaysOnShuffle favorite, Avicii, takes Nicky Romero’s “Flash” and combines it with Dirty Money’s “Coming Home,” to make this masterpiece. This became one of the staples of Avicii’s shows and now has found its way onto the “Internets.” This will definitely get you ready for your weekend, Happy Friday!

It’s amazing when you meet new people and ask their musical tastes. That conversation always leads to someone discovering a band or artist they have never listened to before. With as much music as I listen to, I am still introduced to bands I have never heard of. Case in point was when I was asked if I like Cold War Kids, I had no idea who they were or what they sang. So I went home and started listening to their catalog, and that’s when I came upon this gem. This four piece band from Long Beach, who have only been around since 2004, have released several albums in a short period. Their latest album, Mine Is Yours, enlisted Kings of Leon’s producer, and you can hear that influence in the album. Mine Is Yours in stores now.

Our favorite Barbados girl is back and this time she enlisted House DJ, Calvin Harris, to produce her first single off her new album. “We Found Love,” follows the latest trend in making pop records with House producers (See any D. Guetta song, or Benny Benassi’s Beautiful People with Chris Brown).
Rihanna – We Found Love
I will say it again, David Guetta is a machine for producing radio hits and his album is full of them. We shared earlier his collaboration with Chris Brown and Lil’ Wayne, now I give you his next big hit on deck, “Without You.” Combining his top notch dance production with Usher Raymond’s vocals works perfectly here, and will be sure to be heard in every club very soon.

R3K has two banging remixes on his hands here. I first heard his “Fly By Night” remix back at the beginning of summer, where he took a sample from Imogen Heap’s “Just for Now” and mixed it with Lil Wayne’s verses on “Swag Surfin.'” For a while, I had a problem and couldn’t help but hit play on that track everytime I grabbed my ipod. Then just recently, while searching the youtubes, I stumbled across this gem which was apprently released at the same time. This one takes Cudi’s vocals off “Symphonies” and lays it over Florence + The Machine’s “Cosmic Love.” Incredible.

Sometimes I hear a song, absolutely love it, and think it will be a huge radio hit. But for some reason the promotion and radio machine fails and a hit song never gets the due listens it deserves. Case in point, “Far Far Away.” Catchy hook check. Featured American Idol alumni, check. Up and coming hip hop artist who raps about something other than cars and bitches, check. Tyga, who besides Wayne, Drake, and Nicki, as the only other viable artist on the Young Money roster gives us his best shot at a pop single. Give it a listen, I hope you will agree.

I spent an entire Summer living off of The Colour and Shape album, and Sublime’s self titled album, and have nothing but great memories associated with it. One of the highlights was definitely “Everlong,” and this remix gives you a softer side with a touch of electronic. Check it out.
