David Guetta – I Can Only Imagine feat. Lil’ Wayne and Chris Brown

People always come to us asking for new music, and usually we are able to identify what will be the next big thing and have it a little early.  A recent example was the song “Airplanes” by B.O.B..  From the first listen we knew it would be a huge radio hit, unfortunately we listened to it so many times that when we finally  heard it on the radio we were already over it.  This track by David Guetta is currently from his album Nothing But the Beat, which is in stores now.  Guetta has had extreme success in crossing over to mainstream pop, and this album is literally filled with radio singles.  “I Can Only Imagine” is one of those singles you may have not heard yet, but will indefinitely be played over and over in coming weeks. – JJ

Kendrick Lamar – No Makeup feat. Colin Munroe

It has been a great year for new hip hop artists.  With new talents such as Big K.R.I.T., XV, Mac Miller, and Fashawn dropping quality material, Kendrick Lamar shines with his album, Section 80.  One of the standout tracks to me was “No Make-Up.”  One of the things that always intrigued me about Hip Hop music is the art of storytelling and thought that goes into producing a song.  While this sometimes gets lost in most songs and replaced with catchy metaphors (cough, Lil’ Wayne), it’s nice to see someone from the freshman class produce a phenomenal record.  Take a listen to “No Make-Up” and enjoy. – JJ
