This song has been in my head for most of the night so I thought I would share it with the rest of you.  On a long drive back from Maryland to D.C. after my first adventure in skiing, I discovered Local Natives “Wide Eyes.”  I downloaded the song as soon as I got home and played about 25 times in a row.  With heavy drums and soothing electric guitar, this band from Orange County creates an eerie opening track to an album (Gorilla Manor) they made using their own money.  Besides spraining my ankle and almost hitting several innocent bystanders, discovering Local Natives was one of the greater moments from my trip.
